This is a good idea for a weekend get-a-way. A new reason why one can re-visit Clark, Angeles, Pampanga. Experience and learn Wakeboarding at Deaca Wake Park and interact and be immersed with Koreans at the Korea Town.
How to get there:
We left Manila at 8:00 am, reached Clark by 10:00 am
Route to take is North Luzon Express Way (NLEX), then towards Subic-Clark-Tarlac
Express (SCTEX)
Then choose the CLARK SOUTH Interchange
Then take Friendship Hi-way exit at Clark Side Gate. First corner you
turn right (JP Laurel Avenue), follow the road until you see the flags and
signage of Deca Homes (Deca Wake Park)
Deca Wake Park Clark has now the Beginner's area. Its a smaller lagoon and entry is slower. This is where we chose to stay.
We are very lucky that our attendant is very helpful and provided us basic training. It also includes shouting their guide instructions while we are on board - well this is per my request.
First try was on the wakeboard. Since I kept on falling down. I decided to try the knee board – technically this is for Kids or
Beginners. …and YES! on my 2nd
try, I was able to go around and go back!
What to Expect:
1. Patience and perseverance attitude is needed
2. Expect to fall in different ways: head first, butt first or chest first.
3. Drinking lots of water (as you will fall down all the time)
4. If you don’t exercise regularly, you’ll experience 2 days of stiffness
What to Prepare:
- Board shorts, Rashguard
- Tights and gloves – if you don’t want to get injured. There is the tendency that the board will
hurt your leg when you fall
- Sunblock
- Snacks/Food. They don’t have a
full-blown restaurant yet, all you can buy are snacks. We brought our own lunch meals – there was no
corkage (yet)
Deca Wake Park Schedule and Rates:
Open Everyday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Rates are inclusive of the rental of boards, helmet, life vest

For dinner we explored KOREA TOWN which is located
along Fil-Am Friendship Hi-Way. A MUST-VISIT!
Amazingly true-blue Korean
establishments from novelty shops, mini marts, eat-all-you-can, fine dining restaurant,
bakery, parlor, massage, church, lodgings and hotels, etc. I have never been to Korea but this seems to
be an economical and convenient way of being in Korea without flying out of the
country.

| Enjoying Samgyupsal. We picked the Korean Resto that had Cherry Blossoms decorations |
We spent our night at Tune Hotels, Clark (http://www.tunehotels.com/my/en/our-hotels/angeles-city/). Booked our reservations via www.agoda.com. We paid around 1,500 for a standard room with 2 beds. Its nice, new and clean. Highly recommendable for budget-travelers
